The voluntary recall with the high chair’s maker, Evenflo, came after more than 300 reports of seatbacks detaching or reclining unexpectedly, according to a CPSC news release. Additionally, there have been reports of screws falling out in clumps of the high chairs, which offered a choking hazard, the company said. All Evenflo Envision high chairs, including model numbers: 2891321, 2891321A, 2891333, 2891351, 2891351A, 2891365, 2891375, 2891403, 2891403A, 2891466, 2891466A, 2891478, 2891536, 2891536A, 2891573, 2891586, 2892351 and 2892351A are part of the recall.The planned secondary endpoints are: 1) measuring degrees of beta-methylamino-L-alanine in blood and urine to determine if there exists a decline in these amounts over the course of treatment; 2) subsequent disease progression as measured by Pressured Vital Capacity , a measurement of lung function that is shown to correlate with disease survival; and 3) pursuing progression of muscle weakness through quantitative strength measurements using hand-kept dynamometry.
