SANDY, Utah -- Brendon Todd won the Utah Championship for his first Nationwide Tour title, closing with a 4-under 67 for a six-stroke victory over six players.
The former Georgia star had a tournament-record 22-under 262 total on the Willow Creek Country Club course and earned $99,000 to jump from 53rd to 15th on the money list with $194,961. The top 25 at the end of the season will earn 2009 PGA Tour cards.
"Anytime you're in the last group and you haven't won, it's a new feeling," Todd said. "The biggest thing for me this week was staying patient and staying out of my own way. It gives me a confidence boost for the rest of the year."
Todd opened with rounds of 64, 66 and 65.
